Martyn took part in a money saving study conducted by the Money Advice Service about people’s spending habits. He had some great hints and tips about saving money so we decide to feature him in a video. His story revolves around sharing meals with family members who live close by in order to save money on food bills. We also used each one of Martyn’s tips as individual social media content.

We filmed this short documentary for the Money Advice Service with Martyn who offered us his money saving tips. We loved the idea of sharing meals with family members and sharing in the cooking in order to stretch your weekly grocery bill so we pinned the documentary around the idea of Martyn cooking a meal on a rainy day. After pre-interviewing Martyn and coming up with a rough outline, this was filmed in one day with all of the dialogue being natural and unscripted.

We shot it on the FS7 and A7s with a beholder DS1 gimbal.
