Having formed a relationship for over three years with Bluehat Group, we jumped at the chance of joining them at one of their pioneering events; The GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ Team Challenge.
The event took place at Bluehat’s new pop-up showcase space located a stone’s throw away from London Bridge Station on the 24th November 2015. The event went out with a bang as a Guinness World Record was broken with the winning team being awarded official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ medals and certificates!
On arrival the attendees were directed to the second floor by the charming and upbeat staff and then greeted with a drinks and canapé reception. After a brief introduction the teams were set and the challenges began. All the teams had a chance to practise each challenge in a different zone before their official attempt in front of the qualified Guinness World Records Judge. The competitive spirit was clear to see.
The winning team broke the record for the fastest construction of a five-meter rope, by tying several 90cm ropes together. The challenge was completed in exactly nine seconds, beating the previous record of 10.25 seconds. Walking around capturing the concentration and amusement, it was evident that the location is a great space easily adaptable to a variety of team building activities.
The participants were so engrossed and absorbed by the challenges that I don’t think they had time to notice the crew or me taking a few close-ups, which was great for capturing natural and emotional shots of everyone having a good time.
